ABOUT ME

My name is Shayla King, I was born and raised in Kansas City Missouri. I have always seen food as a way to connect me with people through their tasting experiences. I have over 20 years of experience in the food industry. I worked in many restaurants. I also served as a manager in various kitchens throughout Kansas City Missouri School District. I was highly recommended by those who had the pleasure of experiencing my soul inspired dishes.
In 2016, I started my own catering business Tasteful Arrangements Catering. I always had an interest in cooking, so I attend a culinary tech school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to better my skills. After I developed numerous skills, I became very ambitious toward my craft. This made me eager to create new recipes. The more I cooked, the more people would request me to cater events. This inspired me to create sauces to accompany the recipes I was creating.
I wanted my product to represent not only what I poured into my food but something sophisticated and unique. On a random Saturday in April 2021, I gathered my family at my home to unveil my new creation.
After many discussions debates and tasting it was settled and done. Thus, the name Urbane marked by sophisticated was born.
